8,000! What does that number mean? It’s the number of ENT cases I saw in both the operating room and clinics over nearly eight years working in ENT and facial plastics as a vendor and clinical specialist (2003–2011), with nasal packing, ear tubes, and sinus blade samples in hand for the next case. But here’s the problem: what if I told you nasal function wasn’t being measured back then, and wasn’t on the radar for dentistry? We’ve made small steps since then, but we still haven’t moved the needle.
Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, I map how nasal function and resistance influence six core systems of human physiology: respiration, immune defense, structural development and posture, olfactory function, oral and speech function, and neurobehavioral regulation, shaping our sleep, autonomic balance, brain function, and overall systemic health across the lifespan.
My unique approach to airway health and nasal function integrates advanced pressure–flow diagnostics and the science of neuro-respiratory physiology to identify the primary drivers of your nasal dysfunction and breathing disruption. Using tools such as acoustic analysis, multi-phase rhinomanometry, advanced resistance testing, functional phenotyping, endotyping, and IP frameworks for neuro-respiratory mapping, I identify airway “bottlenecks” that influence sleep patterns, breathing efficiency, bite and posture alignment, and whole-body health.
